Our family enjoyed the most perfect Sunday this past weekend. We awoke and casually got ourselves ready. With enough time before church (when does that ever happen?) we spontaneously decided to go to breakfast in Hermosa Beach. We dined at a corner cafe steps from the beautiful ocean. I ate the most delicious scone I have ever consumed. We then drove to our new church in El Segundo.
After church, we returned to Hermosa Beach, per Isaak's request. We played, built sand castles, laughed, collected shells + sea glass and had the most fun.
Then we took a drive down the coast to Rancho Palos Verdes. Beauty in abundance! We stopped at a corner, neighborhood market. We picked up some groceries and we drove to Point Vicente for what Isaak kept proclaiming was "the best picnic ever!" Indeed. It truly was. Spur of the moment. No pretty picnic basket or blanket... just a spontaneous "perfect" picnic. We enjoyed the view.
We drove home. And though it was a long day, the boys were beautifully behaved throughout. How pleasurable. We ALL napped. It was a perfect day. So thankful for family. Praise!
Oh yeah... and our church was having a clothing trade. For a month, members donated their clothing & accessories no longer desired. All donations were organized and available FREE for the taking. I scored a cute little striped dress for free. How fun is that? I highly recommend doing this event. Free shopping. Who doesn't like that?
