today i am grateful for this.  ezra's sweet lesson.  determination.  he will
get that fist, fingers or thumb into his mouth... oh yes he will.  and after the
effort, comes much joy.  it's so easy to give up on what we want.  but if we can just persevere, we will find success.

Hi! I just read your comment on my blog and my heart skipped a beat when I read that you know Lisa Leonard! I am such a fan of her's and I feel so envious about her success. I have been following her success for a year or so. She doesn't talk too much about her business other than to show her pieces, but I would love love love to know how she finds so much success. She seems to have a very supportive group of wonderful people around her. This is one thing that I have not been able to create. Family and friends have no interest in my business. It sucks and it hurts, but I am used to it and beyond that.

How do you know her? Is it just an online acquaintance or do you know her in person?

It's funny. I've been wanting to contact her. I think she would like my wrap bracelets and I was thinking that she could design a charm for them. Maybe I will contact her. What do you think?

lisa-
because i'm the bold + encouraging type... let me first off encourage you to change that "envious" to admire. i'm sure that's what you meant. i know you will find growth for your business with a confident, positive outlook... no matter who is supporting you! your pieces are just amazing. you can make this exactly what you want it to be... if you want it enough! long for it. and make it happen.

i do know lisa personally. since high school youth group at our church. although, growing older, we lost contact. she found me through facebook awhile back & just within the last few months i found out about her blog & amazing, successful business. she is a very sweet person. i encourage you to e-mail her and ask the questions you are seeking answers to.

and one last bit of encouragement... business + marketing, especially in this time and ESPECIALLY in your neck of the woods, will be difficult. you have to be prepared for rejection. but can't let it distract or define you. YOU are the maker of your dreams. let them come to life!

You are absolutely right about the wording I chose. I never feel envy. I don't even know why I chose that word. I only want good things for people. I DO admire Lisa and the success she has made happen.

I am very grateful for the words of encouragement you sent my way. It means an awful lot to me to hear the opinions of someone outside of my everyday contacts. I value your perspective and although I have always wanted to be how you describe, it isn't always easy for me. I am not as bold as I would like to be and that sometimes gets in the way of my success. It is something I am working hard to change.

Again, thank you for your support!

...determination? I'll say! Check out that intense look on baby Ezra's face! With that kind of determination, he will surely conquer the world!
