We have a few traditions in our homeschool group.
We like a few good traditions.
A Valentine's Party {take a moment, <- click over there, and see this year's party!}
An Easter Egg Hunt
Beach Days, and more.
+ my contribution...
The Bake Sale! {take a moment, <- click over there, and see our first Bake Sale!}
We are hosting this year's annual Bake Sale
Saturday, March 10th
from 11-1230 p.m.
in front of
The Canvas Shop {take a moment, <- click over there, and see the new shop we will be selling in front of, owned & operated by one of our own homeschool peeps... you will also want to browse inside their fabulous store!}
on PCH in Seal Beach.
Our adorable kiddos work hard to bake, market & sale. Mark your calendars, and come on out.
We always give all of our donations away to a non-profit. Our first year, it was Bolsa Chica Wetlands. The second year, it was El Dorado Nature Center. I love that our children work hard, see money coming in, and know that we will be giving it all away. What a beautiful life lesson. This year, I wanted to do something a little different. This year, we will be supporting
WaterRun. {take a moment, <- click over there, and visit their website!}

This is our very good friend's organization, and we are excited to be a small part of it. Their Mission:

"Our mission is to provide clean drinking water, sanitation and hygiene education to those in need around the world.

In order to achieve this goal, WaterRun seeks to educate others regarding the critical need for clean water and to raise funds to provide sustainable solutions to the problem. By working together with public and private donors, we can take measurable steps toward our goal. As donations for water projects are received, WaterRun partners with carefully selected in-country agencies to implement water projects. Only agencies with an exceptional track record of successful project implementation are utilized. 100% of public donations are given directly to water projects."

Take a few minutes to watch this video. I watched it with Isaak and Ezra, and it truly touched their hearts. Our friend Ryan also sent us some donor envelopes for the bake sale and a poster. The boys are seeing the poster daily and they cannot stop talking about clean drinking water and raising money to support it. Isaak actually mentioned selling some of his toys in order to give more money. Sweetness.

If you cannot come to the bake sale, consider visiting their website and sending a small donation. We hope you are touched, as we have been, by this cause and we really hope to see you at the Bake Sale!
